Custom Long Sleeve Base Layer — Polartec® Power Wool™

Unlike standard sizes, a custom‑fitted garment maintains consistent contact with the skin, which improves moisture transfer, reduces fabric bunching, and allows full mobility during activities such as cycling, running, ski touring, hiking, and other high‑intensity sports. A tailored fit also helps the fabric work as intended—efficiently wicking moisture, regulating temperature, and providing comfort during sustained movement.
This base layer is constructed from Polartec® Power Wool™, a bi‑component knit that places merino wool inside and a synthetic fiber exterior outside. According to Polartec, this design combines the thermoregulation, odor resistance, and comfort of wool with the durability, shape retention, and faster drying properties of synthetics.
Fabric Options :
- Silkweight Power Wool™ is the lightest option, with a smooth outer face and a micro‑grid inner surface. It has a soft feel and is highly breathable, making it suitable for warm weather or high‑output activities. Its wool interior absorbs moisture, transferring it mechanically to the synthetic outer layer for quicker evaporation.
- Lightweight Power Wool™ provides slightly more warmth while maintaining breathability and moisture management. Like the Silkweight version, it leverages the merino‑next‑to‑skin interface and durable synthetic exterior for consistent performance in varied conditions.
